Youth Summer String Camp

for Middle School, Junior High, and High School

Monday, July 22, 2024 through Friday, July 26, 2024

Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass

High School Students

  • For students entering grades 9-12 (advanced 8th graders and graduated seniors are welcome) with a minimum of 2 years playing experience that play violin, viola, cello, or bass.

  • 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, Monday through Friday


Middle School/Junior High School Students

  • For students entering grades 6-8 with a minimum of 1-2 years playing experience that play violin, viola, cello, or bass.

  • 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday


Experience an engaging opportunity at our Youth Summer String Camp! Join talented string players from around the Midwest for five days of musical exploration, where you'll not only learn new techniques and perform exciting repertoire, but also discover friendships in community with fellow musicians. 


Students will join our outstanding String Faculty, who will guide them to build their confidence and sharpen their skills through personalized lessons and engaging group activities. Young musicians will experience immersive rehearsals and workshops,  ensuring that students will not only improve their skills and build confidence, but also have a blast along the way.

Additionally, an exciting opportunity awaits to showcase your talent in a special performance for your friends, family, and the QC Community on the final day of the Summer Strings Camp (July 26, 2024)!

Private lessons are available for an extra fee ($20 per 30 minute lesson, or $40 for an hour).

We have a gorgeous facility, excellent Music Faculty and we blend these elements with our Mission, to provide an inclusive, high quality music experience for young musicians and the community! Faculty members have the freedom to customize activities to suit each student, creating a deeper and more profound experience for all involved.


How to Register for Summer Strings Camp

Visit our "Register" tab on our website and scroll down to the Registration Form for Summer String Camp. The link can be found at https://www.thedeanery.org/register. 

If applicable: Complete and submit the Scholarship Form, prior to registration (see below under “Scholarships”). You will be contacted to register if a scholarship is awarded.

Tuition

Camper Tuition before 7/4/24: Cost: $150* for Early bird registration by 7/4/24; after 7/4/24 the rate is $175.

*Tuition amounts include the $50 non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot at camp!


What is included in Camp Tuition?

Tuition for all campers includes music, handouts, group instruction, a camp t-shirt, and light refreshments. All registration forms must be accompanied by a non-refundable $50 registration fee, which is applied toward your total camp tuition. Once we received your registration, we will send an invoice to pay the registration fee.

Scholarships

A limited number of need-based scholarships are available.
